On Saturday June 10th we are having our first IPA & Shandy Festival! The event goes from 1-6PM and you don’t want to miss it!
Hoppy IPA’s and Shandys! Thats what our IPA & Shandy Festival is all about. We have contacted over 25 breweries to send us thier best hoppiest beers! Thats right, we are going to have it all from double IPAs, Triple IPAs, barrel aged IPAs, fruited IPAs, and shandys anything showcasing hops that will get hop lovers like yourself excited so hop on over to Tysons Biergarten for our IPA & Shandy festival!

Old Bust Head:
★Quickfix Session IPA: 4.8%, 41 IBU’s. Full hop flavors of orange peel, soft peach, and pine, over a light malt body with a crisp finish.
★Graffiti House West Coast Style IPA: 7.5%, 73 IBU’s. Big grapefruit aroma with citrus and grapefruit flavors, along with underlying tropical fruits. Full, clean malt bill washes away any lingering bitterness.
★Sonic Charm DIPA: 8.4%, 84 IBU’s. Huge mango aroma, with juicy mango and tropical fruit flavors. Finishes with a nice dry bitterness. 2 lbs per barrel Galaxy dry hop.
DC Brau:
★Corruption IPA- The Corruption IPA is DC Brau’s take on a Pacific Northwest IPA. Won the bronze medal in 2015 at the Australian International Beer awards.
★Public- “The Public” is DC Brau’s most popular offering and continues to be a sought after staple by imbibers and ale hounds in the Nation’s Capitol.
★Pils- Pilsners are quickly becoming a favorite style among craft beer drinkers in the States. Since introducing BRAU PILS into its lineup of year-round offerings in 2015, DC Brau’s take on a German-style Pilsner has eclipsed its flagship Citizen Belgian Pale Ale as its third best-selling brand with even stronger sales projections for 2017.
Bell’s:
★Two Hearted Ale- 7.0%, An India Pale Ale style well suited for adventurous trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and an incredibly floral aroma.
★Pooltime- 5.2%, A refreshing Belgian-inspired Wheat Ale with light clove notes. The truly distinguishing feature is the use of 100% Montmorency tart cherries grown in the Traverse City region of Michigan. These cherries add a subtle tartness and bright counterpoint to the other flavors, enhancing Pooltime fruity character and making it the perfect beer for all summer activities.
★Alewerks Superb IPA- 6.5%, An IPA that lives up to its name. Bright, tropical fruit flavors with a good hop.
Stiegl:
★Zitrone- Brand new to the United States market, this refreshing thirst quencher with real lemon juice satisfies your senses with its sparkling and invigorating taste.
★Grapefruit- Stiegl Grapefruit Radler combines the purity of Stiegl Goldbräu lager with pure grapefruit juice. Radler, which means ‘cyclist’ in German, was originally brewed for thirsty cyclists in Austria who wanted a great tasting, low alcohol beer they could take along on bike rides.
21st Amendment Brewery:
★Free or Die IPA- 7.0%, 70 IBU, An IPA brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with three different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone supporting the firm bitterness. Our top selling beer at the pub, this IPA starts big and finishes clean leaving you wanting more.
★Hell or High Watermelon Wheat- 4.9%, Like Lady Liberty, 21st Amendment stands for independence and perseverance. In the pursuit of innovative beer, there is no obstacle too great. No journey too long. No fruit too gigantic. This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that’s surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing- summer in a can. Hell or High Watermelon Wheat is a classic American wheat beer which undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon. A straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor.
Great Lakes:
★Commodore Perry IPA- 7.7%, 70 IBU, A British-style IPA named after the man who defeated His Majesty’s Royal Navy in the War of 1812? Consider this a bold, hoppy (and mildly ironic) plunder of war. Dry and well-hopped, with an arsenal of caramel malt flavors befitting the “Hero of Lake Erie.” Pairs well with spicy foods, carrot cake, and glorious sideburns.
★Hop Madness (seasonal Double IPA)- 8.0%, 80 IBU, Beware, drinker! Hop hysteria could happen to you! Especially after indulging in our dry-hopped Double IPA’s shockingly intense tropical aromas and hair-raising bitterness. Maniacally dry-hopped, with a frenzy of juicy aromas and formidable pine finish. Pairs well with spicy foods, milder blue cheeses, and midnight movies.
Oskar Blues:
★Fugli- 5.8%, 60 IBU, Yuzu and Ugli fruit infusions twisted together with blueberry, tangerine notes of Mosaic make for a tangy, juicy, zesty array of aroma and flavor. Salivation will instantly ensue with one sniff of this crushable brew that was inspired by a Yuzu brew we made with some brewing friends in Japan.
★Gubna- Gubna was bred from Oskar Blues Brewery’s hankering to confront 100+ IBUs by cranking up the complexity of hops by pouring Cascade on top of copious amounts of Summit, then balancing that with a backbone of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt.
Sly Fox:
★360 IPA – halves only- 6.2%, 70 IBU, Finally big, bold flavor in a big, bold can that drinks like a favorite pint glass…anytime, anywhere. Sly Fox Brewing Company celebrates India Pale Ale tallboy-style, with an exciting fusion of Bravo, Cascade, Centennial and Lemondrop hops that’ll enliven the senses! Wide open flavor and aroma sing out in this dry-hopped IPA creatively packaged in the innovative “360” can.
Seven Arrows:
★Eventide IPA- sixtels only- 6.5%, 65 IBU, The Eventide IPA is a red IPA based on the American Style IPA and offers a prominent hop aroma with a piney/spicy character derived from Simcoe and Chinook hops. In addition, to the pronounced hop aroma this IPA offers a distinct hop character that is balanced by a Pale 2-Row and Caramel malts. This IPA pours a light amber with a pronounced off white head that provides a significant amount of lacing.
Avery Brewing Company:
★The Real Peel IPA – 6.3%, Inspired by a summer’s day and crafted to crush year-round, our IPA twists real tangerine peel and citrusy hops into this juicy experience. It’s the real deal!
Crux Brewing:
★The Cast Out IPA -7.6%, 60 IBU, Many breweries procure their hops right here in the Northwest. But this beer features the Galaxy hop from Australia, a country famously populated by England’s cast out convicts. Cast Out IPA employs these hops aggressively from hop back to dry hopping stages. Yet the result is a balanced and bronzy ale, with medium hop bitterness complemented by moderate maltiness, showcasing aromas and flavors reminiscent of passion fruit.
★The Gimme Mo IPA- 6.2%, 50 IBU, This is not just another IPA. Consider it a next generation IPA. A slightly sweet, lower ABV, IPA providing welcome relief from the onslaught of bitter hop bombs out there. Its complex aromatic layers, suggest mango, melon, pine and berries, are driven by whole-leaf Mosaic and Citra hops which are then balanced by an acidulated and pilsner malt bill. Finally, its silky smooth mouthfeel will leave you asking for “mo!”
Anderson Valley Brewing:
★Briney Melon Gose- At 4.2% ABV and born from a passion for experimentation, the Briney Melon Gose boasts a thirst-quenching tartness that is perfectly balanced by subtle watermelon flavors and aromas. Gentle additions of sea salt create a refreshing harmony between the acidity and fruity sweetness leading to clean, dry finish.
★Gin and Tonic Gose- At 4.2% ABV, Reminiscent of a classic cocktail, the G&T Gose showcases botanical flavors and aromas of lemon peel, juniper, lemongrass, and grains of paradise. With a juicy lemon-lime tartness and slightly peppery finish, we’ve given the gose style a unique spin that we’re sure you’ll enjoy.
Schoefferhofer:
★Grapefruit- Schofferhofer Grapefruit is the unique combination of sparkling smooth Schofferhofer Hefeweizen with grapefruit flavoring. A refreshing well-rounded taste with tangy character and hints of sweetness is pleasing to the palate. Tastes best ice cold and right from the bottle.
Seadog:
★Wild blueberry- 4.6%, Features the nutty quench of a wheat ale combined with the delightful aromatics and subtle flavor contributed by Maine wild blueberries. Seasonal Blueberry Wheat Ale from Maine.
Duclaw:
★Funk blueberry- 5.0%, The traditional American Wheat Ale serves as a solid baseline, but we couldn’t be content until we tore the roof off this sucker! Funk, our Blueberry Citrus Wheat Ale, sets the rhythm with a soulful fusion of American wheat and hops, before unleashing a stunning encore with big notes of blueberry and Meyer lemon. It’s no jive, you’ll just dig it!
Founders:
★Rubaeus- At 5.7%, The Rubaeus optimizes the flavor of fresh raspberries, and celebrates the joys of summer year-round. This stunning berry-red masterpiece is the perfect blend of sweet, tart and refreshing. No question about it, this beer is 100% Founders.
Delirium:
★Red- Delirium Red won the Silver Medal at the International Beer Challenge in Germany in 2016, just to name a one of the many awards it was won over the years. Made with sour cherries and having an ABV of 4.5% this beer is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Oud beersel:
★Framboise- 5.0%, A delicate balance of soft lambic and real raspberries provides a smooth natural beer, Oud Beersel Framboise harmonizes the authentic taste of Oude Lambiek and the fruity flavour of ripe raspberries. The use of real raspberries and lambic matured in wooden barrels, results in an exceptionally subtle and refreshing beer.
Victory Brewing Company:
★Kirsch Gose- 4.7%, Excite your senses with a sharp, sweet burst of fresh cherries. Sublime and effervescent, this bold and bright session ale has an enticing cherry-fruit character. Pours a ruby to light red with white foam. Aroma of fresh sour cherries with flavors of tartness, intense rounded cherry character, and a refreshing salty character. Crisp carbonation and light body are both combined into a thirst quencher.
Hoppin’ Frog Brewery:
★Barrel Aged Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale- At 7.0% ABV, the Barrel Aged Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is born from European tradition, our barrel aged shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandy’s, Turbo Shandy revs it up a couple notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do!
Great Divide Brewing Company:
★Roadie Grapefruit Radler- At 4.2% ABV, the Roadie Grapefruit Radler is named both for the road biking cyclist (roadie) and the German word for cycling (radler) and inspired by Great Divide’s roots in the cycling community, Great Divide Roadie Radler is brewed with natural grapefruit puree, this easy-drinking ale pours a hazy sunrise gold and is bursting with citrus aroma. Unique in its class, this Radler is refreshing and slightly tart, with just enough bitterness to keep both cyclists and spectators coming back for more.
Epic Brewing Company:
★Tart n’ Juicy IPA- At 4.5% ABV, Tart n’ Juicy is an IPA that combines the clean, puckering tartness of kettle souring with an abundance of juicy, citrus-driven hops to create a beer that’s the best of both worlds. Tart n’ Juicy is a fresh, kettle soured, India Pale Ale with bright notes of grapefruit, agave, tangerine and passion fruit. Normally “sour” and “India Pale Ale” would be contradictory terms because the flavor combinations can be tough to bring together in just the right way.
Key Brewing:
★10 Pound Test- Key Brewing has only been on the scene for a few years but they have fought their way to the top of Maryland’s Craft Beer scene. This is our American IPA. A delicious, light amber color with aromas of pineapple and melon start this beer off.
Crooked Run Brewing:
★Envision IPA- This IPA is on the lighter side with notes of orange and coconut. This crisp, refreshing beer is perfect for a warm summers night. Nominated for the Gold Medal at the Virginia Craft Beer Competition in 2016.
Evolution Brewing Company:
★Lot 6 Double IPA- At 8.5 ABV, this beer is loaded with tropical fruit and citrus notes. Won the Gold Medal at the Maryland Craft Beer Competition in 2016.
Dogfish:
★90 minute IPA- Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA “perhaps the best IPA in America.” An imperial IPA best savored from a snifter, 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate.
★Flesh & Blood- At 7.5% ABV and 45 IBU’s, Flesh & Blood balances the resinous hoppy characteristics of an American IPA with the explosive zesty fruitiness and subtle drying tartness of citrus to deliver a highly quaffable ale that’s incredibly unique and lovely to down the whole year round.
Lost Rhino:
★My Imaginary Girlfriend- My Imaginary Girlfriend is brewed with all the HOPS and fermented in your Mom’s basement. Best enjoyed before or after your favorite role-playing game. With 73 IBU’s this will surely be your new favorite IPA.

★Fruitless DIPA- A West Coast style double IPA hopped exclusively with the elusive mosaic hop. This intense double IPA tops at 8% ABV.
