BEERS! BEERS! BEERS!
From 21st Amendment:
Brew Free! Or Die IPA (Blood Orange); 7% ABV: BREW FREE! OR DIE IPA is brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with three different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone supporting the firm bitterness. Our top selling beer at the pub, this IPA starts big and finishes clean leaving you wanting more.
From Argus Ciders:
Ginger Perry; 4.5% ABV: Ginger Perry delivers a dry pear palate with a tart bite, finishing bright and a bit spicy at the end. Unpasteurized and unfiltered, Ginger Perry is free of back sweetening and added sugars.
From Caboose:
Duchess; 5.5% ABV: Great porter with creamy/ foamy head. Slightly sweet. Well balanced. Light coffee and nut flavors. Tanin mouthfeel at the finish. Really solid beer!
Saison; 6% ABV: The saison is a classic European style derived from “Farmhouse ales” provided to farm workers during lunch and after their workday. The Belgian yeast strain creates a dry, fruity beer with notes of pineapple, citrus and a touch of champagne. The effervescence of the style adds to the champagne comparison, making this one of our most refined beers for the usual wine-drinker.
From Dogfish Head Brewing:
90 Minute DIPA; 9% ABV: Continual hopping provided a beautiful balance to our Imperial IPA – allowing us to add a foolhardy amount of hops throughout the boil without making 90 Minute crushingly bitter. With rich pine and fruity citrus hop aromas and a strong malt backbone, 90 Minute IPA created pungent, unapologetic flavor that led Esquire to call it “perhaps the best IPA in America.”
From Epic Brewing:
Tart and Juicy Sour IPA; 4.7% ABV: We’ve combined the clean, puckering tartness of kettle souring with an abundance of juicy, citrus-driven hops to create a beer that’s the best of both worlds – Tart n’ Juicy Sour® IPA.
From Heavy Seas:
Tropicannon Citrus; 7.25% ABV: Our brand new citrus IPA is exploding with bright citrus aroma and flavor. Creating an exciting new variation on our flagship Loose Cannon, TropiCannon clocks in at the same 7.25%ABV as its cousin, but packs a full blast of blood orange, grapefruit, mango and lemon flavor. We’ve downplayed some of Loose Cannon’s piney-ness and amped up the citrus by swapping Centennial and Palisade hops for Amarillo and even more Simcoe. We’ve introduced dried grapefruit, orange and lemon peel in the brewing process and added mango, blood orange and more grapefruit post-fermentation.
Loose Cannon IPA; 7.25% ABV: Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA—its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.
From Honor:
Golden Ale; 4.9% ABV: Honor Golden Ale is a smooth and full bodied American style golden ale brewed with US grown pilsner and white wheat malts, and hops sourced from the finest Washington and Oregon hop farms. A long and cold fermentation with a Bavarian yeast strain lends a clean and smooth flavor, accentuated by small herbal and citrus tones from the hops, and is rounded out by a bready malt character.
Maple Porter; 5.5% ABV: Our Maple Porter pours silky and dark with nose that gives soft hints of Grade A maple syrup and sweet chocolate; finished by late additions of vanilla and cinnamon. The roasted malt gives off a nice coffee note with earthy undertones from the hops. It’s rich, roasted and robust yet easy on the palate.
From Jack’s Hard Cider:
Helen’s Blend; 4.5% ABV: Fruit forward with a balance of natural acids and sugars creating a smooth finish.
Pear; 5.5% ABV: This blend of hard cider and freshly pressed local pears has an acidic body with a smooth pear finish. Like all our ciders, Jack’s Hard cider is made from fresh pressed apples we grow without any added colors, flavors or sugars.
Fireside; 5.0% ABV: Subtly spiced with cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and vanilla, this hard cider is well balanced with our sweet and tart apples.
Dry Hopped; 5.5% ABV: Adding classic American craft brewing hops throughout the fermentation process of this dry cider base lends pleasant citrus and herbal aromas and flavors.
Original; 5.5% ABV: Dry, crisp and refreshing; like biting into the perfect apple.
Peach; 5% ABV: Jack’s Peach Cider is light with fresh peach aromas and refreshing fresh fruit flavors. This blend of freshly pressed Adams County apples and peaches is quickly becoming a favorite.
From Jack’s Run:
Happy Ending Cream Ale; 5.7% ABV: A light, crisp and refreshing cream ale brewed with 6-row malt and maize. Lightly hopped with cascade hops, this is definitely a summer beer almost reminiscent of a pilsner. When you finish you’ll know why it’s called a Happy Ending.
From Jailbreak Brewing Company:
Czech The Technique; 5% ABV: Brilliantly gold with a creamy white head, this traditionally executed offering is brewed with pilsner and wheat malts, noble hops, Czech lager yeast, and a soft water profile. Floral and gently spicy hop aromatics are backed by a lightly bready malt that leads into the balanced complexity of a clean malt backbone with soft hop bitterness. With a long rounded finish, this offering continuously invites another taste
From James River:
Fulvanna Fluss; 5% ABV: Gold Medal Winner at the 2015 Virginia Craft Brewers Cup, the Fluss (pronounced “floos”, it’s “river” in German) is a traditional, unfiltered Bavarian-Style weissbier (white wheat beer) brewed with Pilsen and Munich malts, white wheat, and Tettnang hops. A light and crisp malty aroma leads to a soft hint of hops hitting your tongue that quickly gives way to the toasted bready malt flavors that dominate this brew.
Sherman Stout; 5.3% ABV: Although dark in color, the roasted malts add to the dry, drinkable nature of this English-style sweet stout. An aroma of chocolate and coffee dance through the nose to bring a strong coffee flavor on the front and back, and a mild chocolatey finish, with a very low level of bitterness. The thick texture and roasted malt notes round out this heady stout.
From Key Brewing Company:
Helles Lager; 4.7% ABV: A medium-bodied, golden-in-color lager with a clean malt flavor start and a slightly sweet and spicy hop finish. This beer is clean and crisp for an easy and refreshing year-round drink.
From Mahou:
Mahou; 4.8% ABV: Created over a century ago, this is the beer that has been there from the start. It retains its recipe, taste, quality and dedication intact. Flavoursome, with a good balance between alcohol and acidity, it is a refreshing beer with a sparkling golden colour and lightly fruity aroma.
Alhambra Roja; 7.2% ABV: A lager full of delicate notes, with a flavour that is much smoother and silkier than expected.
Alhambra Reserva; 6.4% ABV: Reserved for the most demanding palate. Alhambra Reserva 1925 is a high quality beer crafted to perfection. With its deep, exquisite taste and exclusive masterpiece in bottle design. Reserva 1925: Our vast brewing experience, to enchant the beer connoisseur.
Cinco Estrellas; 5.5% ABV: With 125 years of history, Mahou Cinco Estrellas has always been there to satisfy the most demanding taste buds. Produced using the finest varieties of hops and yeast, it stands out for its golden colour and distinctively mild taste. The result: a well-balanced flavour which lingers in the mouth.
From Old Bust Head:
Old Jail Pumpkin Peach; 5.8% ABV: Like the ghost that is said to dwell in the Old Jail in nearby Warrenton, Virginia, a pumpkin and peach essence haunts, but does not overpower, our Old Jail Pumpkin Peach Brown Ale. An aroma of sweet spice and pumpkin pie precedes the body of caramel nuttiness with hints of molasses, roasted brown sugar, and vanilla. A dissipating smokiness from the Cherrywood Smoked Malt finishes the taste imparting a fresh baked flavor to this unearthly Brown Ale.
Graffiti House; 7.5% ABV: From Civil War scrawls on the walls of Graffiti House to illicit aerosol artistry we all endeavor to leave our mark. Our Graffiti House West Coast Style IPA asserts its presence with a potent aroma of passion fruit, mango, guava, and citrus. The bold and juicy tropical body is a unique signature of the Mosaic hops, while Cascade hops contribute to a clean citrus finish for a flavor so singular it leaves its own indelible impression.
Coconut Coffee Imperial Stout; 10% ABV: Just on the nose alone, there’s no missing Coconut Gold Cup! Aged on both toasted and cream of coconut this variant has the unmistakable sweet aroma of a freshly opened fruit from this tropical tree. A flavor of shredded coconut follows, perfectly balancing our deep and rich brew. One sip will take your taste buds on a ride—close your eyes, and you just might think you’re biting into a classic Mounds Bar.
